A Regency 18 ct gold verge pocket watch by Thomas Hawley & Co of London, its movement signed Hawleys, London and numbered 4621, having a fancy engraved gold face with outer applied engraved three-colour precious metal rose, thistle and shamrock Union-commemorative wreath, pellet minute markers and raised Roman numerals on a frosted chapter with scale-engine-turned ground, its flamboyant hands in blued-steel, the case having a rose-engine-turned back, milled bezel, floral-engraved side with conforming stem and bow, London, 1818, 48 mm excluding stem and bow, 107 g, (running when catalogued, accuracy and reliability un-tested), [Watchmaker to the King, the partnership of Thomas and John Hawley worked from various addresses in London between 1760 and 1862.]
